Security features include laminated glass, a multipoint locking system, dog bolt hinges, cylinder guard, tough polyurethane core, reinforced with steel mesh, all as standard with other features as options.

The specially formulated Glass Reinforced Polymer and Thermoplastic skin materials have been developed to promote UV stability, high thermal shock and scratch resistance, providing an effective barrier for the door.

CTG were charged with filling a six square metre area with a sloping pitched glass roof to one side and walls to the other side and rear. After consultation with the building contractor and hotel’s Architect it was decided to install a gabled roof to match the existing conservatory’s front gable, with box gutters to both sides and rear, with a steel beam picking up the existing conservatory. The installation was completed by the inclusion of electric roof vents to ensure the structure was kept at a comfortable temperature and to aid access to the front garden and to make the most of the view, French doors were installed to the front elevation.

To minimise disturbance to hotel guests, the installation was completed during the hotel’s two week winter shut down period.

• CTG were contracted to design and construct a free standing Edwardian Style Conservatory incorporating full height glazing with roof vents for added ventilation.

Living in an elevated position overlooking the harbour, Mr & Mrs Dunn had always wanted a Conservatory, but hadn’t a suitable position to attach it to their property.

After some deliberation, it was decided to have a free standing Conservatory on the Patio adjascent to the side elevation of the property having the best harbour and sea views. It was a challenge for CTG as all the land was made up and on varying levels. The finished project however was a complete success.

One important factor for Mr Dunn was to have the whole project finished in May 2010, to meet the deadline of Mrs Dunn’s birthday. It was tight on timing but all was achieved.

Mr & Mrs Halliday had asked several different companys to quote for the project.  As a long established local Company with experience of the regional climate they choose to offer the contract to CTG Windows.

The Company were able to satisfy all of their requirements at a very competitive price. Mr & Mrs Halliday visited  the CTG showroom at Marsh Lane, Hayle (behind M & S) and it was there that they fell in love with a Poppy Red Door, which complements their home perfectly. The windows and doors were changed from a dark woodgrain colour to a gleaming white finish, and after installation, Mr & Mrs Halliday both commented on how much more roomy and light it made their home – particularly their kitchen.

With two dogs, both Mr & Mrs Haliday were keen on the traditional Stable Door for the side elevation and this has proved a huge success, allowing large amounts of ventilation whilst keeping their pets secure.

The whole project has fulfilled every requirement that Mr & Mrs Halliday had stipulated and has proven to be a huge success.

New Building Control Regulations relating to the Thermal Efficiency of Replacement Windows fitted into domestic properties in England & Wales came into force on October 1st. The new ‘Document L’ stipulates that the minimum standard is a ‘C’ rated window.

CTG have decided to ‘future proof’ all their installations and to offer ‘B’ rated windows as standard, with the option of an ‘A’ rated window for situations and customers that require it.

Mr & Mrs Gales were delighted with their new Composite Doors in Royal Blue, and they decided to continue over a period of a year improving several aspect of their home as above. The Garage Door with remote opening was a huge success. They then went onto the planting room/Conservatory which looks superb.

Mrs Holloway, has a very prominent property, distinctive with its lovely natural slate hung outside finish, and box sash windows. Mrs Holloway wanted to retain all the character in her property by keeping traditional style windows. CTG Sliding Sash Windows with external Georgian bars maintained that appearance whilst totally upgrading performance. The green Composite doors also kept some colour and character to the front elevation. Mrs Holloway was so pleased with the front that the rear of the property upgrade followed swiftly afterwards.
